Start with a key and a short idea
Roman numerals describe chords relative to the key: I is the home major chord, while i is the home minor chord. Try a preset, add chords from the key or borrow a chord from the library. Changing key transposes the progression; changing mode starts a new progression.
The diagrams and playback here use standard tuning. Each step lasts one to four bars of 4/4. These are original practice loops, rather than song arrangements.
