Melodic Minor (Jazz) scales

The jazz form uses a natural sixth and seventh in both directions.

Start over a minor-major seventh chord. In classical melodic minor, descending usually returns to natural minor; this lesson uses the jazz form throughout.

Sharp and flat spellings can sound the same in standard tuning. The note names follow the spelling of each key.
